Other People's Words
Each of us stands on the shoulders of those
who have influenced or inspired us.
While there are many more books, authors, musicians, poets, etc. who have inspired me, listed below are four books worth investigating.

The Four Agreements
The Four Agreements, by Don Miguel Ruiz, is possibly the most influential book when it pertains to shifting my perception of people's -and my own- behavior.

The Gift
The Gift: Poems by Hafiz, is Daniel Ladinsky's work which he accredits to his connection with Hafiz, the 14th century Persian mystic & lyrical poet. While the poems herein are not Hafez's, the messages and meaning incorporate the mystical element present in Hafez's original works.

Animal Farm
Animal Farm is George Orwell's classic satirical tale of rebellion through the depiction of farm animals as the rulers, workers, average citizens, and eventual dictators that form a tyrannical government similar to the one they rebelled against.

The Alchemist
The Alchemist was written by Paulo Coelho in 1988. It tells the tale of an Andalusian shepherd boy, Santiago, who dreams of a treasure buried in North Africa and his journey of self-discovery in his attempt to find the treasure.
